Kampala Music School is a unique organisation providing opportunities to study and perform Western classical music and jazz in Uganda.  It provides both tuition in a wide range of instruments, and Music Therapy to children with physical and mental disabilities.  It is home to the Kampala Symphony Orchestra and the Kampala Singers.

Many of KMS’s students are awarded bursaries to enable them to study.  As well as the many students who come for lessons in our centre, there are also outreach programmes into schools, including some with underprivileged students.

Charity Christmas Cards For Sale

Next February, the Kampala Music School in Uganda will celebrate 20 years since it opened.  To mark this milestone the school’s founder, Fiona Carr, has written “The KMS Story”, a history of the School from its origins in 1996 to its opening in 2001 and right up to the present day.  With its fund of anecdotes and extraordinary happenings, the book will make fascinating reading.  It is hoped that the book will be published before Christmas.

In addition, a range of both Christmas and general greeting cards (all blank inside) are now on sale here in Cuddington.  The cards cost £1 each, or any six for £5, and are available from The Spinney, The Green.

For more details or to order some cards email  fionacarr@hotmail.co.uk or phone 01844 290000.
